Nach nur 4 Monaten Patchwork/Quilt Beginn habe ich schon ein UFO (Un- Fertiges Objekt). Mein allererster Quilt ist/war ein Fence Garden Quilt den ich ein bischen umgebaut habe, dh ich habe die Blöcke etwas anders angeordnet. Leider habe ich mit einem CM-Lineal gearbeitet und mitten im Projekt auf einen Quilt/INCH-Fuß umgeschwenkt. Das gab natürlich Chaos und entsprechenden Frust weil ich mich dem Ziel so nahe sah meinen ersten Quilt fertig zu haben.

Also wanderte der erste Quilt gleich in die Ecke und es wurde ein UFO draus.

Nun nach 2 Monaten habe ich mich wieder ans Werk gemacht.... Das schlechte Gewissen hat mich doch zu sehr gedrückt ;-)

Ich habe das erste Mal auf Papier bzw auf Windelflies genäht da die Nahtzugabe zT. weniger als 3mm betragen hat. Mit der Papiermethode habe ich wenigstens die 5cm Breite des Blockstreifens relativ genau einhalten können.

Ich habe übrigens den Windelflies von Budnikowski genommen und der geht prima. Nur zu empfehlen!

Ich habe beschlossen das ich so nach und nach dieses Projekt nebenbei weiter mache. So rein zur "Gewissensberuhigung" *hüstel*

Die Gesamtstreifen muss ich noch begradigen da sie ja unterschiedlich breit sind. Ich mußte fast alle Blöcke auftrennen (Auftrenner sei gelobt) und nähe sie jetzt einzeln wieder zusammen. Vorher habe ich lange Streifen zusammen genäht und dann auseinander geschnitten, das war doch ein bischen schneller.

Nun ja, jetzt kenne ich den Unterschied von CM und INCH *grins*

Schöne Stoffwahl. Ich habe die Stoffe in "Annas-Tasche" eingesetzt. Bin schon sehr neugierig auf dein Ergebnis und glaube mir, wenn man ein Ufo dann erstmal wieder auspackt, geht es meist doch sehr schnell und man wundert sich, warum man es so lange hat liegen lassen.
Also nur Mut.

Ja so nach und nach kommen die Blöcke zusammen. Mit der Papiermethode ist es ja nicht so schwer... mir gruselt nur ein wenig vor dem zusammensetzten... aber das dauert ja zum "Glück" noch ein wenig ;-)
